Fruit wines
MOKOS FRUIT WINE SPECIALITIES BY NATURE Our winery produces fruit wine specialities in addition to the traditional Villány red wines. Our aim is to introduce this wine speciality, which is still less common in Hungary, to consumers. We consider it important that our fruit wines are made exclusively from fresh, juicy fruits produced in Hungary, without the addition of water, colouring or flavouring agents. Dessert wine made from sun-dried fruit The raw material is selected from the finest fruit from our 45 hectares of orchards. The technology is very similar to that of classic grape fruit fermented wine: ripe fruit is harvested and immediately transported to the processor. The freshly picked fruit is destemmed within 20 minutes of harvesting, followed by fermentation in an oxygen-free environment to preserve the fresh flavours. Taste the flavours of nature in a bottle with Mokos Fruit Wine specialities: Meggy Wine, Strawberry Wine, Currant Wine, Raspberry Wine, Cider Wine, Blackberry Wine, Plum Wine, Cider or even a Quince-Alma-Cider blend! Villány Wines Would you like to taste fresh flavours and light rosé wines? Or are you looking for full-bodied, robust red wines? You are guaranteed to find something to your liking in our selection! Our vineyards are planted with both national and international varieties typical of the region (Portugieser, kékfrankos, pinot noir, merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon). Thanks to the loess and red clay soils, the sub-Mediterranean climate and the above-average yield limits, we produce high quality Villány classic and premium wines, from 2008 onwards around 100,000 bottles per year.
