From Cellar to Cellar - Variations on Vincé
A régi szokás szerint a szőlősgazdák Szent Vince napján pincéről-pincére járva kóstolták meg egymás borait, valamint az aznapi időjárásból és a metszett „Vince vesszők” állapotából jósolták meg a következő szüret gazdagságát. „Ha szent Vintze napja fénylik, megtelik a pintze, és sok jó bort várhatni”, vagyis a közismert időjárási regula szerint a jó idő jó termést hoz. A Vince napi hagyományoknak köszönhetően a Villány-Siklós borút szervezésében a In the Villány Wine Region villages, Vince the Barrel-, Vineyard- and Dinner-programmes are held every January, melynek állandó résztvevője a Mokos Pincészet is. Az eseményen résztvevő borászatok pincejárásra invitálják a bor kedvelőket, melyhez hagyományőrző borkóstoló, vesszőfakasztás, játékos vetélkedők és isteni lakomák is járulnak. Egy nap alatt akár 4-5 népszerű borászat is bejárható, megismerhető és “megkóstolható”. Buszos kirándulás a borvidéken, szórakoztató programok – mint pl. ásott borra vadászás, áldott termőföld borral való locsolása, verseny dugózás, Vince vesszőmetszés – hordós borkóstolók, pincekoncertek és a nap zárásaként remek borvacsora varázsolja emlékezetessé a hagyományos rendezvényt. Rozé Festival
What could be better in the summer heat than an ice-cold rosé after a nice jog? The Rozé Festival one of the biggest and most atmospheric events in the wine region, whose focusing on the great summer favourite, rosé available. The Rye Festival is part of the RozéMarathon running race where participants will run the course in a carnival atmosphere, accompanied by rosé spritzers and raspberry schnapps. Villány Red Wine Festival
The biggest and best-known festival in the wine region, where the best red wines of Villány take centre stage. For 3 days, a large-scale harvest parade, concerts, gastronomic and children's activities await visitors during the first weekend of October, the harvest season. Villány's wineries, distilleries and craftsmen will be represented in the Villány square and on the streets of Villány. In addition to popular popular music bands, well-known folk musicians, local folk shows and street theatre performances will offer a great cultural programme. Morning programmes are aimed at families, and from early afternoon there is something for everyone. And of course, there's no shortage of the delicious, full-bodied Villány wines you're used to.
