Our family winery has been present for three generations in Villány Wine Region and is now present in two municipalities: Palkonyán and Villánykövesden. A Year 2003 was the big breakthrough in the life of our winery, when Gábor Mokos Palkonya, the famous Weingarten in the vineyard He planted 15 hectares of vines. At the same time, he added to the vineyard inherited from his ancestors plantations in Villánykövesd.

In 2018, we further expanded our coverage by 2 hectares of white grapes installed, thus expanding the the offer of our winery and providing new opportunities for different grape varieties for.

Our winery is not only a traditional Villány red wines specialised in the production of fruit wine with specialities also deals with. A vHotel Cabernet*** in Illánykövesd It has been in our family since October 2010. A 25 rooms hotel is a conference room and a cosy terrace.

Our winery in the in 2012/13 has undergone another major development. Opposite the beautiful cellar row of Palkonya, on the hillside above the fish ponds, a magnificent basement theatre, which has become a meeting point for wine and culture. The two thousand square metre winery is not only Palkonya, but the whole Villány Wine Region the jewel in the crown. The building houses modern winemaking technology, the barrique barrel ageing, a Wine tasting room for 120 people, and an odd terrace with a view which impresses all our visitors.

The link between wine and culture will be strengthened by a 360-seat theatre and events hall, where we plan to offer a colourful and exciting cultural programme. With our presence in Villánykövesdi and Palkonya, we aim to enrich the life and services of the wine route and the smaller wine villages, and to show that small villages in the neighbourhood of Villány are also worth a visit for tourists who love wine, gastronomy and culture.
