As you may already be aware, the government has introduced severe restrictions on events. Please be informed that our Smell of Bread event will be held at a different date (June). We came to this decision after much deliberation, as the nature of the event does not allow for 500 visitors, but we do not want to risk anyone's health.
The event is cancelled, but our hotel guests we encourage you to come to Palkonya and enjoy the clean air of the countryside, relax and "slow down". For small groups we offer a free village walk on Saturday from 2pm (meet in front of the Church). Our restaurants are still open. Thank you for your understanding! We wish you all good health.

We are putting a fun, friendly idea into practice at the end of March with our "The smell of bread" event. We love to eat bread, we love to make bread, we welcome all those who feel the same way. What makes it special, delicious, unique? Is it the ingredients or the way it is made? In our workshops, well-known bakers will share their secrets so that more people can enjoy delicious homemade bread at home!
A few important QUALITY requirements that all bakers and breadmakers must respect:
> Breads must be made with natural leaven only!
> Each product type carries the characteristics of the craft (production methods, composition).
> No "baking - multi-company advertisements, raw material advertisements, etc.
A professional jury will be set up to ensure that these conditions are met.

During the event, you can register for paid workshops, and there will be free lectures and talks on announced topics and times.

The sourdough team is back again this year. Our guest will be Gabi Ormós (Jenői Bakery) Szabolcs Szabadfi (Szabi Baker, Panificio il Basilico), and the star chef Wolf András. Once again we will be flour makers and we will be baking and cooking all day. The event is free, but pre-registration is required for the workshops and dinner.

Saródi Írisz again this year Goat cheese and homemade breadt, the baker of the Búza Square market will be our guest.
It makes breads (spelt, rye, king), buttered buns and Mediterranean baguettes in a wood-fired oven with live baking.
For lunch, a fried bun with pita and/or goat cheese is prepared. There will be a variety of scones, snails, surprise sweets.

The guest of the Winery, Zoltán Takács (BAKE MY DAY bakery) will give a presentation on the beneficial effects of sourdough bread and the carefully selected ingredients, which will be complemented by an informal discussion and tasting. The bread tasting experience will be accompanied by cheese, bread flans and, of course, Mokos Villány wines and fruit wine specialities.

Take part in our guided cellar and estate visit programme, during which you can get to know our family estate, located in the hillsides of the Villányi Hills, our nearly 2000 m2 winery, and we will also give you an insight into the wine-making process.
The programme includes a tasting of a 100% Mokos juice.
Price of the programme: 1 500 HUF/person.
