In keeping with tradition, the main focus at MOKOS Winery on Martin's Day is on new wines and goose flavours. This year, we are waiting for the wine and music lovers with two special Martin's Day Goose Evenings: a gourmet wine dinner on Martin's Day, offering an unparalleled gastronomic experience, and a real Goose Feast, reminiscent of classic flavours, at our Winery!  

Martin's Day - the celebration of New Wine!

Martin's Day is the last day before the 40-day Advent fast, when good and rich food and merriment are allowed. Saint Martin's Day marked the end of the peasant year, when the annual farm work was finished and the winter rest period began. The belief was that if you didn't eat goose on Martin's Day, you would starve all year round. And after the goose dinner, it was customary to toast with a "Martin's glass", i.e. the new wine that had just been matured.

• Cold foie gras with cranberry onion chutney

• Goose soup with homemade pasta and smoked quail eggs

Main course:

• Goose variations - Confit goose leg, Goose lolli-pop, Sage potato gratin, Thyme orange carrot, Pickled beetroot discs, Mustard seeds

Tickets are available in our webshop and can also be purchased in person at MOKOS Winery (7771 Palkonya, Hegyalja u. 1.) every weekday between 8:00 and 16:00.

Our tickets are in virtual format, so you don't have to worry about taking them! The ticket purchase is final once the ticket amount has been paid (online/in person).

The purchase can be cancelled at any time without any consequences before pressing the "Pay" or "Order with payment obligation" button. The Customer may not exercise the right of withdrawal or the right of termination pursuant to Article 29 (1) l) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) if the Event Ticket is valid for a specific date (specific day, deadline) or can be used during a specific period. In such a case, the Service Provider is not entitled to return the Ticket or refund the value of the purchase.

Our gourmet dinner on St. Martin's Day can accommodate up to 100 guests.

We are pleased to announce that all problems have been solved, as our shuttle bus You can travel between Pécs-Palkonya for 5.500 HUF/person round trip!  During the evening, we will have at least 2 return bus departures, so you can choose your own departure time and not be tied to others. So that you don't have to call a taxi, the bus will stop at several points in Pécs on a predetermined route. Details of the exact timetable and stops will be published in early November.

Not coming from Pécs? We have a solution for that too: From Kozármisleny we provide a transfer for 5.000 HUF/person, from Villány and Villánykövesd for 2.500 HUF/person!

Our transfer bus tickets are available for purchase in our webshop between 23 August and 31 October 2022.

To use the bus, all you need to do is order your transfer ticket from in our webshop or report your transfer request to  szervezes@mokos.hu by e-mail.
