The construction of our winery <\/span><b>We started in 2010<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and as part of the cellar investment, we decided to further enrich the life of the winery and the village with a <\/span><b>theatre and event hall<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Many people ask: <\/span><b>where did the idea come from?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:post-content -->\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:image {\"sizeSlug\":\"large\",\"align\":\"full\"} --><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignfull size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/mokos.hu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Mokos_Pinceszet_eskuvo_rendezvenyterem_2000x645-e1600694581433.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><!-- \/wp:image --><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The idea came simply from the desire to promote not only the wine industry but also the <\/span><b>culture<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>cultural experiences<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> play an important role in the local community and for visitors to the wine region. The building was designed to provide an ideal setting for the winery as a cultural space <\/span><b>for larger events<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>for concerts<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>theatre performances<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and any event that adds value for visitors while connecting the worlds of wine and culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2007, Palkonya was awarded the <\/span><b>Europe Cultural Village<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> title, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and the motto of the village reflects this special harmony: <\/span><b>\"Palkonya, where Wine and Culture meet.\"<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The tiny town deserves this title, as the <\/span><b>cellar row of 53 press houses covering the hillside at the end of the village<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the continuous, active <\/span><b>cultural activities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have defined the atmosphere of Palkonya for centuries. In addition to preserving the architectural and material values, one of its most important characteristics is that <\/span><b>more than fifty residential buildings<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is under local protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a result of the collaboration between wine producers, the local government and local residents, the <\/span><b>Palkonya Pentecost Open Cellars event<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> has been part of the life of the town for decades, and has an equally important tradition in the <\/span><b>Devil's Den Festival<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a unique venue for the village with its alternative arts programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continuing these initiatives, we thought why not make Palkonya the <\/span><b>Vill\u00e1ny Wine Region - a cultural citadel<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where wine and culture can truly come together, even in a <\/span><b>wine tasting combined with theatre performance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span><b>wine dinner<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> where we can offer wine and culture lovers visiting the wine region a special gastro-cultural experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to achieve the above objective, we decided to use the former palkonyai <\/span><b>quarry<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in an abandoned mining yard, which will be the <\/span><b>wine processing space<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> above a <\/span><b>theatre and event space<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> includes. The cellar investment was made in a unique setting, with the <\/span><b>on the shore of the Palkonya pond<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, with a magnificent view of the cellar of Palkonya, the listed <\/span><b>for the round church<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the blossoming orchards on the other side of the valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The theatre seats 300 people <\/span><b>View from<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and 60 people <\/span><b>lodge<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, together with state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, provides the capacity and technological facilities to <\/span><b>high-quality events of high cultural value<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the implementation of.
